Good thing I work well under pressure ...

NaNo Update?

Not doing well.

I'm not giving up, but I am becoming more and more concerned about my lack of forward momentum.

Luckily for me, I'm still the girl who wrote a 10 page paper on genetic drift theory in an afternoon!  When things get down to the wire, I get geniusy.

(I hope, anyway.)

  1. I work better under pressure too. You'll get there and when you do you probably won't be able to stop. Good luck :)

  4. I agree! I work so much better under pressure, with just a few metres to the finish line, I always step up my game.

  5. Every year, I write a little bit the first couple of days and then end up doing most of it in the last two weeks. You can SO do this.

  6. So are you planning on writing 30,000 words in the last week? If so, I'd like to hear about that :)

  7. I do know it's possible to write 35,000 in six days. Then again, I only did that once, and had a terrible fever.

  8. Keep at it. Procrastination does not equal stagnation. You've got time yet to win this baby.

  10. Hi Ru- You are not alone. I am probably the worst NaNoWriMo participant ever. Over the past week, instead of writing I have cooked, cleaned, shopped, painted my nails, removed my nail polish, listened when my husband talked to me, etc. CRAZY stuff. I have my fingers crossed for both of us to pick up our games.

  11. Thanks you guys -- it really is encouraging to hear that a few of us are here rowing in the USS Procrastination.

(That metaphor didn't really make sense, did it? Whatevs.)

    Thanks! :)
