In which I lecture all of you, though none of you likely deserve it

Today's game was not a fun experience.

And I know it sucks to watch good players make bad mistakes.

But while everyone needs to be able to express their frustration with a bad play (brief yelling, groaning, the occasional Gob Bluth "Come on!"), if you plan to boo your own team, just get the hell out of the stadium.

  1. Oh lord I hate that so much. If you are a fan, you are a fan whether they are good or bad. None of this fair weather fandom crap. The players need support, not derision from a bunch of jerks.

  2. Agreed. The last thing we needed to do was give credence to Max Hall's assertion we are classless.

  3. Alright Ru its time for me to come out of hiding. I read your blog (I linked to it from Kathleen's) and I have to 100% agree with this assessment. I'm in graduate school at the U and therefore in the Muss. When people started to boo I tried to tell them to stop and some girl in front of me said, "The quarterback sucks though!" If you want your team to win, booing to me, seems like a step backwards. I appreciate your humor Ru. Go Utes.
